Planning ranges
Distance is only
one variable.
Industry planning ranges can be roughly 1–2 days for Toronto–Ottawa or Montréal, 4–7 days to Winnipeg, and 7–14 days to Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver. Your actual window depends on the route, inventory, weather, access and whether loads are consolidated.
Your booking window is the one that matters
Planning ranges are not a delivery guarantee. We confirm the expected pickup and delivery window in writing for your specific move before booking.
Cross-border guidance
Paperwork keeps
the route moving.
Unaccompanied household goods entering the United States generally require CBP Form 3299 and a complete inventory.
The inventory needs meaningful item descriptions; simply calling a shipment “household effects” may not be sufficient. The importer remains responsible for accurate declarations, eligibility and any supporting records. We’ll identify the service and carrier arrangement for your route and help organize the move inventory.
Before a U.S. move
Confirm immigration status, the owner/importer details, U.S. address, port and date of arrival, restricted items, carrier information and the customs documents that apply.
